They are unlacquered and will develop their own patina as they are used and react with their environment. The Gold finish is a soft finish and should be treated with care. Very happy
We've had lovely feedback from friends and family about this tap. They can't stop using the levers lol. Haha anyway good tap, stylish, sleek and wouldn't mind having one in my en suite myself. I've emailed it around to my friends after the feedback I received. Was tempted to choose the Gold finish at checkout but wasn't quite to my taste (also, it wouldn't of really fitted in with all our work-surfaces and granite). It was very easy to install although I can't speak from experience as the husband did it lol! I guess you'll just have to take his word for it
