Which is the Best Mixer Tap?

Posted by Taps.co.uk on 21st Mar 2018

When looking into the world taps from the outside it appears like a bit of a jumble; there are literally hundreds of taps to choose from in a plethora of styles and finishes and functionality. You have the choices between monobloc, mixer, deck-mounted, three holed, four holed, whether you want the tap to swivel or not, what handles to choose, whether or not you want a Perlator tap, the finish... Basically what I'm saying is that there's a lot of variables in choosing the right tap. We know just how difficult it can be to find the right one for you and because of this we have decided to produce a small list of some of the best mixer taps that we have available on our site.

First up on our list is the Phoenician 4460 Mixer Tap from the people at Perrin & Rowe, a beautifully traditional mixer tap and fittingly a member of their Traditional Collection. Found in a wide range of finishes from the blue-tinged Chrome all the way to the wonderfully muted English Bronze this tap is known as a monobloc, meaning that all of the components (handles, spout, plumbing, etc.) all meet in a single place so that a single hole has to be drilled into the sink/worktop. The curved corinthian spout of this tap gives it its iconic silhouette while the white porcelain lever handles add a flourish of colour to the finished piece. Truly this is one of the finest mixer taps we have to offer.

Coming up next is a tap from the people over at Franke; their FilterFlow Olympus Filter Tap, a masterfully engineered mixer tap complete with their FilterFlow technology. This tap is available in two absolutely beautiful finishes: Chrome and Silk Steel (a more muted, brushed look), if placed correctly in the kitchen the finishes allow the light to dance off of the tap perfectly, creating a brilliant light show ready to greet you as you wake up. While the tap above is for more of a traditionally styled kitchen these Franke taps are precision manufactured out of the finest stainless steel to appeal to the more modern end of kitchen aesthetics.

Finally on our list is another from the brilliant minds of Perrin & Rowe: their Alsace 4771 Mixer Tap, a timeless classic and a member of their wonderful Country Collection. This stunning tap comes readily available in any of the award winning finishes as all P&R taps are; Chrome, Gold, Nickel, Pewter, English Brass and some gorgeous bronze finishes to end on. The stylings of the Alsace tap are that of a country kitchen, more traditional in design and execution; the long stem leading to the precisely curved swivel spout, the separate handle mounts leading to the fully finished lever handles. The tap is beautiful, practical and very much deserving a place on our list.

When asking the question of which is the best mixer tap it's all down to preference; as a result of this we have instead given you three examples of the finest mixer taps that we have available on our site, ready to be shipped out to you as fast as possible.
